Advanced Temperature Controls

  • Temperature is electronically controlled at 22°F set point, a high performance level to maintain product at the lowest possible temperature.
  • Sophisticated electronic controller regulates all cooler operating functions automatically.
  • Large 2.3” digital temperature display on exterior of the merchandiser shows actual product temperature.
  • High capacity refrigeration system designed for very fast product temperature pull down.
  • Extra-thick 2” CFC-free foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation for the best operating performance and maximum energy efficiency.
  • Heavy-duty triple pane Low-E tempered glass door provides maximum insulation.
  • The ARV-1230 is designed as a high ambient model and features heated glass doors to prevent condensation on glass in almost any environmental condition.  Door heat intensity is variable according to conditions.
  • Battery back up keeps all electronic settings up to one week in the event of a power loss.

Design Enhancements

  • Highest durability epoxy powder coated painted interior, and heavy gauge galvanized steel exterior construction provides strongest protection against corrosion.
  • Extra heavy-duty powder coated flat shelves hold the maximum loads and resists scratching and corrosion.   Each unit is provided with five shelves for the 16oz PET bottles.  Four shelves are required for the aluminum bottles.
  • Heavy Duty lockable casters permit easy cleaning under the unit.
  • Interior vertical fluorescent light with light switch for high impact product visibility.
  • Units are easy to service and clean. Routine cleaning completed without using tools.
  • Separate light switch on exterior illuminated display panel.
  • Door Lock integrated into door frame.

How to Load the Beer

  1. Add the maximum quantity allowed of plastic bottles
  2. Load the product at night so that it can pull down to temperature overnight
  3. Sell through all the beer in the Super Cold before reloading

Operating Tips

  • The unit should be allowed to stand in place for 30 minutes once located in place, before it is plugged in.
  • Once the unit is running, the real time clock should be set.   Please consult the owner’s manual for instructions on setting the clock on the electronic controller.
  • In the event of power loss, the real time clock will keep its settings for up to one week once the battery is fully charged. The real time clock battery is rechargeable.
  • The unit should run for 30 minutes empty before any product is loaded inside.
  • The unit must go into defrost mode twice a day to maintain optimal performance. During defrost, the temperature display may move up 2-3°F. Avoid opening the door during the defrost cycle.
  • In the event unit is placed in a non-air conditioned or high ambient humidity location, additional defrost cycles may be required to prevent the rear refrigeration coil from blocking with ice.  Consult the owner’s manual or installation instructions for additional information.
  • Very heavy door openings will have an eventual impact on the product temperatures, so it is best to avoid standing in front of the open door while deciding product selection, counting inventory, etc.
  • The large LED display above the door simulates the actual temperature of the beer in the cooler, not the air temperature in the unit. Therefore, it will change in temperature more slowly as the unit cools down or warms up.

ARV-570 – Four rows Gravity Feed Shelves that fit 16oz. Aluminum bottles only
ARV-1230 – Four Rows of flat wire shelves for 16oz. Aluminum bottles
Five Rows of flat wire shelves for PET Plastic bottles (mostly stadium concessions)

  • Allow unit to run for 30 minutes before loading product.

  • LED display simulates actual beer temperature.  Requires beer to be loaded in unit for 30 minutes to work properly.

The Safe-NET is an electronic controller that regulates the cooling system.   It is located below the door behind the front grill on the ARV models and at the back of the MAXI-140 model.

Before Safe-NET can operate correctly, it is necessary to set its internal clock.   This will allow it to regulate the system for defrost at convenient times of the day around your location’s schedule – when you are not at the busiest serving times.

The Super Cold comes preset from the factory with two defrosts per day.   In most situations this will be enough defrosts unless the unit is operated in non-air conditioned environments or high humidity locations.   If you require additional defrosts per day, please consult the owner’s manual.

SETTING THE CLOCK:

  1. Remove the bottom front grill.   Screws are located on the sides of the grill.   Do this before plugging in your Super Cold.

  2. Remove the Safe-NET plastic cover plate by using a thin bladed screwdriver to pop-off the oval cover
